How To Wash Your Face

It may seem odd to write about instructions on washing your face. We all know to use water, smear on a cleanser or soap, and rinse: simple 1, 2, 3 steps.  However, there are some minor details that can affect the outcome of your face wash routine.
 

1. Choice of water temperature

We know that boiling water kills germs and bacteria present because of the high water temperatures. Therefore, it seems logical to use hot water to reduce the bacteria on your face. But actually, cool or luke warm water is best suited to use on your face. The high heat of hot water can shock the cells and clear the moisture. Instead of seeing hot water as a bacteria killer, think of it as the desert sun stripping the water from the ground.

2. Listen to your skin: Select a cleanser that works 

Rather than picking up the latest face cleanser, it’s a smarter and more economical decision to listen to your skin. Take a second to feel your face and determine whether you have on oilier or drier complexion.
